Thermostat” featureThe thermostat allows adjustment from -5 to +70°C The heating tape is switched on below the programmed temperature and shut off above it. The recommended order value (factory set) is +3°C. “Start-up current limiter” featureCurrent consumption by the heating tapes essentially depends on the pipe surface temperature and the ambient temperature. When the bands are cold, so as not to overload the mains, the DHB 340 limits the quantity of absorbed current for a maximum of 8 min. according to each switching on. The adjustment is then free. “Display” featureThe display shows the effective order values, whilst the small LED’s signal the features to which they refer. In service, the display indicates the measured temperature, for example: 3°C. Error messageE1 = Sensor failure (interruption/short-circuit). For safety questions, the appliance switches to permanent working mode! Installing the temperature sensorThe sensor can be used, at will, to measure the ambient temperature or that of the pipe surface. In the latter case, it should be fixed on the opposite side to that of the heating tape, by imperatively choosing the coldest part of the whole installation.
